Since I didn’t update my fitness last week, I’m going to combine two into one:
Sunday 8/24: Insane Cardio Class
Monday 8/25: Body Sculpt
Tuesday 8/26: 7 mile run. First 5 were negative splits, and I really pushed it at the end. I realized I should pick it up the entire run and not just at the end. The last 2 miles I ran on the treadmill at all for a cool down.
Wednesday 8/27: Interval Sculpt
Thursday 8/28: 4.06 mile run in 32:08. I was happy with this one as I pushed myself a bit harder. I know I can do it, it’s just pushing myself beyond what’s comfortable. I’m working on it.
Friday 8/29: Rest Day
Saturday 8/30: Push it all workout. I was going to go for a run, but I ended up wanting to wait around for Aaron to Facetime me, and wasn’t feeling the run. I wanted to do a circuit workout and try something else, so I did this and loved it.
Sunday 8/31: Insane Cardio
Monday 9/1: With it being Labor Day, our gym switched things around. I taught my Insane Cardio class for 45 minutes and then switched to a body sculpt preview for other gym members for the last 15 minutes. My legs were begging for a break from all the jumping during the Insane Cardio.
Tuesday 9/2: 4 mile run. My legs were also shot on this run,but I finished it, albeit slowly. I knew I didn’t want to push it so I kept it around a 9 minute mile pace.
Wednesday 9/3: Ugh, rough day. So the top of our yard was covered with dirt from building our deck and also tons of wood from garden boxes. This dude seriously was crazy before we bought the house! Anyway, I’ve been dying to get our yard cleared, but to do that we have to load up my brother’s truck and take it to the dump and pay to dump it. We did this once before, but still had a lot. Turns out my brother was working from home Wednesday, so we used his truck and my mom and I started loading it up. After one trip to the dump, Aaron’s mom was at my house ready to help. You guys, I can’t even thank them enough! We got everything to the dump in 3 loads, with the entire yard cleared off. My mom and his mom even came back over Thursday to clear it all up from weeds and make it amazing! Anyway, I was totally spent from doing all that, but then had to teach my Interval Sculpt class. I definitely struggled, ha, but I basically was lifting all day long with all the wood we carried down steps, through the yard, and down more steps to the truck.
Thursday 9/4: 4×800. I did a 1/2 mile warm up, then did each 800 around a track, with walking in between for about a minute, maybe less. I finished with a cool down 1/2 mile. I would have liked a mile for warm up and cool down, but due to said workout Wednesday, I didn’t want to push the legs.
However, I was very happy with my times for the 800s. I don’t own a Garmin, so I try to run at a pace I can sustain for that long, but pushing it. I thought I’d be in the 3’s but made it in the 2s and was super excited. Of course, by the end I was feeling it for sure! I am glad the 10 mile training is pushing the speed workouts back into my program!
Friday 9/5: As much as I knew I needed a rest day, I also knew I couldn’t get my long run in on Saturday, so I did it Friday. It was a big struggle, but I finished it while watching Mistresses.
Saturday 9/6: We had the ALS walk in the morning (more on that tomorrow) and then a wedding at night, so our dancing shoes were on!
Sunday 9/7: I had my Insane Cardio class, but no one came It was actually a break for my legs and I was glad to have that!
Whew, alright now onto the food! Since Aaron is home this week, we are definitely making healthy meals again! I slacked while he was away because I didn’t like making a real meal for just me!
Sunday: Aaron’s mom is cooking.
Monday: Tilapia with Crab Meat
Tuesday: Pizza with Friends
Thursday: Life Group (I think?)
Friday: Sweet potato nachos
Saturday: I have a cookout and Aaron has a bachelor party.
