Hey guys.. how’s your Sunday going? I’m so excited to have another day off tomorrow! Speaking of.. how is today September, already?! Really.. I just can’t grasp it!
Last week was sort of a crazy week for dinners, but this week we are back on schedule. Here’s what the plan is…
Sunday: Subway with a side of broccoli (it needed used up, and we had a coupon for Subway!)
Monday: Regular ol’ spaghetti. I have been wanting this for over a week, and tomorrow is the day! Haha side of garlic bread and Green beans.
Tuesday: Tacos with sweet potato fries!
Wednesday: Cheesy Ranch Chicken with brown rice and mixed veggies.
Thursday: Taco salad
Friday: I am going to a concert so Aaron will be on his own!
Saturday: Heading to my aunt’s for a cookout! Burgers and dogs on the menu.
Aaron and I actually went grocery shopping together today (!) because his plans were cancelled due to the weather. I couldn’t believe when we agreed to come, and neither did he haha. We went to Shop n’ Save and Aldis. We had to get a few items at Shop n Save that you can’t find at Aldis, like Chobani yogurt Aldis is basically where I shop for food, though. His face when the totals were rung up.. priceless! He really had no idea how much food costs
Fitness for this past week:
Monday: I did my Bicep, Tricep, and Shoulders workout along with 20 minute Elliptical. It felt great to burn my arms, and my legs appreciated some time on the Elliptical. This week, though, I’m switching around my running schedule so I run on Monday’s.
Tuesday: 4 mile run and Danica’s Core workout
Wednesday: 3 mile easy run on the treadmill along with a Tabata legs workout that will be on the blog Tuesday! Look for it! I did it and my legs still hurt yesterday. I even had my best friend, Emily, do it to make sure I didn’t just do it wrong, and she is equally sore. Gotta love those workouts! Make you work
Thursday: Speedwork. Whoa. This was my first time doing it, and I really did like it! I did a 1.75 mile warm up, and then headed to the track. My workout was 4×800 5k pace. I didn’t wear a watch to time myself, but wish I did. I think I did the first one too fast, and tried to slow it down a bit for the other ones. In between each 800, I took a 200m walk before starting again. The only downfall with this run was that it was at 4 o clock with the blazing sun on me. It was the only time I had that day to do it, so that sucked. Oh well, I finished!
Friday: I was supposed to do the elliptical and a chest/back workout. However, scratch that, haha. I was so sore from Wednesday’s workout that I needed a break. I found a Yoga for Runners OnDemand so I did that! It was about 40 minutes and I felt great doing it. I haven’t been much of a yoga person, but I am hoping to change that and incorporate it more.
Saturday: 6 mile run! I was at my lakehouse and decided to get my run in while I was somewhere else! What is more fun than running in areas you don’t typically do? Though the sun decided to come out around mile 2 and continue on, I still enjoyed it!
I accidentally hit stop instead of pause after mile 2 and needed to restart it!
Sunday: Today was a rest day. Much needed and appreciated!
