Well hi there guys! I’m back this week with a little recap from the week of fitness and my meal plan for this week! We had pretty much no food in our house yesterday, and I ended up doing quite a large shopping last night! I’m excited to have some staples back in our fridge for the week!
I don’t really have recipes for any of these yet! haha I’m just kind of winging everything, but will take some pictures and maybe share some recipes if you’re interested! Both the salsa chicken and lasagna are in the crock pot, and I might try making my mom’s chili in the crock pot too! We’ll see how it goes. We actually have a lot of meals with chicken in them this week, which hasn’t happened in a while. I might end up switching something around just so we don’t eat chicken so much (we actually had it last night as a quick dinner, too!).
Fitness for the week:
I was back at it this week and it felt amazing. I didn’t talk about my fitness last week, but know that I only ran 3 miles on Saturday and taught one class that week. I really took it easy after my race.
Sunday: Rest, I believe. I can’t remember if I ran or did anything. My guess is that I didn’t with everything else I had on my mind!
Monday: Taught Bodysculpt. We really killed it with a circuit style that hopefully I can get put together for next week!
Tuesday: 4 mile run. I ended up having a bit of pain in my knee towards the end, but it wasn’t bad after I quit. I took it slower than I did before the race just getting my legs back in it. I ran before work and felt awesome all day. It really set my mood for the day.
Wednesday: Taught Interval Sculpt. We did more strength and then had a circuit of cardio at the end. This one lady was explaining it to someone else and said “it always challenges her and she wakes up sore but loves the class.” I felt pretty great hearing that!
Thursday: Another 4 mile run before work. I picked up the pace a bit more than Tuesday and had no knee pain.
Friday: Rest day. I wanted to get a circuit in after work but I was just exhausted!
Saturday: Another 4 mile run. I wanted to make it 5, but we had to get out of the house early to get to Ohio and waking up at 6 on a Saturday was early enough for me! haha I had a Christmas tree to look at, and a yummy breakfast waiting after!
Sunday: 3 mile run this morning. 24:50 which I was excited about. Speed is coming back slowly, but still fighting a nagging hamstring. Not sure what to do about it.
Total miles for the week: 18 miles.
What is your favorite part of Thanksgiving food (whether you celebrate it this week or have already)?
What’s your comfort distance for running?
Mine’s 4! When I started running, the park was 2 miles down and back and so I always ran the park, and now 4 miles is just my go to.
