Just like with any holiday, this one passed by too quickly. The entire weekend did, actually!
Friday night was spent grocery shopping and parking it on the couch with Chip and Joanna (Fixer Upper, anyone?). Saturday morning we just relaxed and my dad came over to fix my computer (Again…). I headed out to my good friend, Becky’s, baby shower that afternoon! It was Children’s Book themed and oh so adorable. Later that night we went to our friend’s for a Cinco de Mayo party! It was a lot of fun!
Sunday morning we headed out right after Annabelle woke up to get to the Race for the Cure. We left around 7:15, parked and were in the thick of the event by 8:15. We walked around for a little to the vendors and then met up with my family. It was pretty chilly in the shade (48 or so degrees!) but by the end we had warmed up! We love supporting my Aunt Anne. She’s been a survivor for 17 years! I even made Annabelle a onesie to show her support.
Annabelle did great! She even got to ride on Dad’s shoulders by the end as she was tired of her stroller (already has dad wrapped around her finger!).
We left the walk and made our way to my parent’s for a lunch with my dad’s family. We had mini sandwiches, cheese, pasta salad, nachos and cheese and salsa, fruit, and veggies. It was really good! We didn’t stay too too long, though, because Annabelle was reaching the end of her awakeness and exhausted from the day! We made a quick stop at my mother in laws and then parked it at home.
It turned out to be a beautiful day! Lots of sun so we were outside the rest of the day. Aaron cooked steak quesadillas for dinner and once we put Annabelle to bed, it was a glass of wine and Chip and Joanna for this momma!
Aaron made the day as special as possible. Annabelle got me a card and ohmygosh my new favorite frame. Aaron took the time I was gone on Saturday for his opportunity with Annabelle and check out the finished product!
He also got me a Mama and Little teething necklace that Annabelle loves. So basically, Aaron knocked it out of the park 😉
The weekend passed by too quickly but I felt very loved the entire day!
