Good morning! I had such a great weekend. In case you missed it, this is what I spent Saturday morning doing.
I spent the rest of Saturday doing some things around the house, and took a nap so I would be ready for my Bachelorette party!
The first stop we made was to Hard Rock Café. I really loved it here, mostly because we were on the water (and had a seat looking out the window), and there were lots of other bachelorette parties happening! I think I went to the Hard Rock one time before, but it was such a fun place to have a party. I loved that there were so many people celebrating the same thing as we were!
Upon arriving, I noticed my cousin, Jenn, decorated the table with beads for everyone, and had a bag of gifts for me!
I was quickly decked out in Bride To Be accessories! I had a button, sash, 2 necklaces, and a veil. So fun!
I started off my meal with a Strawberry Daquiri, but it was very disappointing. The first one I had was all watered down and wasn’t even a slush, so I asked for a new one. The second one was alright, but it still didn’t taste the best. Oh well! A lot of my friends ordered salads, but not me! I actually ordered Chicken Tenders and was shocked at how delicious they were. There were specks of red pepper in them, which gave just the perfect amount of spiciness. They were also very spicy, and I devoured most of them.
However, we had an interruption during dinner! There was a man who, I’m guessing, has fun with all the Bachelorette Parties. I had to pick 2 of my friends (I chose 2 that were also engaged!) to participate in a fun game. They needed to use a straw (later found out you didn’t have to use the straw) to get the cherry at the bottom of the whipped cream into my cup. It was really funny, and ended up being quite hard! My team didn’t win, but I think we all had fun watching!
Before leaving here, I ended up running into Kasey from Powercakes! Such a small world! Her brother was there performing last night, and we were able to catch up a bit. We roomed together in college, and it’s always nice to see a familiar face!
It was a gorgeous night out, so we took advantage and had pictures in front of the fountain. So beautiful!
Our night didn’t stop there, though! My mom left, and took Aaron’s sister, Rachael, with her because she isn’t 21, and we headed over to the bar across the street called Buckheads. I had never been there before, but I was assured it was a lot of fun. They were totally right. We ended up staying there the entire night having a blast. There were at least 12 other Bachelorette Parties there, too! I loved when people came up to me and told me congrats.
I spent the night taking one too many shots, dancing the night away, and performing dares from scratch off tickets. They were pretty interesting and made for a lot of laughs! For example, one was to walk into the mens room with a friend and act very upset. I completed it (thankfully no one was in the men’s room!) and came out to everyone staring at me. Ah, such is life!
The party went on for quite some time, before heading home and falling asleep. It was such a great Bachelorette Party! I loved every minute of it, and just had a total blast being with my closest friends (minus some who couldn’t come in from out of town ).
I was very excited to only wake up with a slight headache Sunday morning! I was preparing for much worse. It allowed me to clean my room and start packing some clothes to take to my new house, get some wedding things arranged, and just relax.
Of course this weekend was so Marvelous that I am joining in the party! A special congrats to Katie who welcomed baby Rocco on Saturday morning!
