Thank you all for the love you gave to my guest posters while I was away! There will be way more on my honeymoon in the next few days, but for now I am trying to get used to living with someone else, and get back to reality! I’m sure you all know there is a lot to do when coming home from vacation. While I am starting my new life, I thought I would share things that we had at our wedding to make it memorable!
A while ago, like over a year ago, I saw a pin on Pinterest for something to do with a game table. Ever since then, I have envisioned a game table at my wedding. I thought it would be something extra fun for our guests to do, and a way to involve more people. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t excited to read the answers! I know how boring it can be before the wedding party arrives, so this gave our guests a chance to learn more about us and have fun!
I also know there are people who don’t enjoy dancing. As much as I love to dance at weddings, there are going to be people that would rather sit back at their chair. That is totally fine! This was just a way to keep them a little more occupied so they didn’t get bored
We ended up not having as many children come to our wedding as we thought (some were on vacation!) but these were still something fun for the little ones to do during dinner! They were just the placemats for them that gave them something to do during all the “boring stuff” according to them!
I really wanted a way for people to show their pictures to us, also, so Aaron and I searched high and low to find an app we would like. I can’t tell you at this point whether or not it was a hit as I am writing this before I have had a chance to look! Aaron and I really wanted to get disposable cameras for the tables, but it was just a waste of money as we heard from others. Either the flash wasn’t on, or the pictures weren’t all taken, and then the price of buying the cameras and developing the cameras just wasn’t worth it. P.S. I bet you could put in the hashtag and find some pictures if you want!
Here are a little bit more about the games we had! Basically, we had kids coloring books, playing cards (because they had hearts on them!) word search, crossword puzzle, photo opportunities, mad libs, advice cards, and names for our future kids!
I have never seen a game table before, but I hope it was worth it and everyone enjoyed it!
Every participated in a game table?
Did you use disposable cameras for the guests? Or would you if you aren’t married?
If a wedding you would attend had one of these, would you enjoy it?
