Hey all! How is everyone? This weekend was a perfect weekend. It was beautiful weather, and completely relaxing!
Linking up with Katie for some marvelous weekend shares!
I was feeling really stressed from the week and just needed a break. I didn’t do much, and Aaron went to get us some Subway for dinner while picking up things from Walmart that we needed. The night was just hanging out watching some Modern Family (never gets old to me!). I was in bed by 10:30 as happy as could be.
One of the reasons I was stressed last week was that I had an interview for teaching group fitness Saturday morning, and needed to teach a portion of a class to them. It all happened incredibly fast, and I wasn’t exactly looking or ready to get into it yet. However! I did get the job! It’s for Monday nights at 5:30 with more possibilities after she sees how that goes. She loved the class I taught and knows I will fit in. I am really excited! I won’t start until the end of May as the teacher is moving. The lady I interviewed with runs all the group fitness classes and wants me to get used to what the class entails, which is really exciting. New adventures coming my way! Because it was so fast, I actually didn’t tell anyone about the interview, and it became a surprise to everyone, haha. Apparently I just like secrets.
I came home and got ready for a run, but the run just wasn’t happening. I spent the majority of the past few days working on what I was going to teach, and really burning my muscles. My body just wasn’t having a run, which was fine. Aaron spent most of the day in the yard, moving plants and things I don’t like to do; I did help carry some top soil to the top of the yard, but that’s all.
That night I went to my parents while Aaron went to the Penguin hockey game. My brother was gone, making it just my parents and me. I loved having the time to hang out, plus catch up on Parenthood with my mom. My dad doesn’t even watch it, but he stayed upstairs with us for the 5 episodes we watched (we had 11- only 6 more to catch up!) just to spend some time with his favorite ladies!
Myste loves me and really misses me! The second I come in the house she runs to me, and snuggled with me all night!
I started the day with a run! I originally attempted a run outside, but it was colder than I anticipated so a mile in I turned around and finished at home. No big deal because I felt much better having taken Saturday off. I made sure to get our food planned out for the week and then made the most of the weekend! With it being so nice out, I am loving spending more time outside and less time on the computer. It’s just nice to get away and enjoy life.
I set up this centerpiece on our kitchen table.
Aaron and I food prepped like whoa! I walked up from running, and he was ready to go! Made bacon and eggs while I whipped up banana bread, then these delicious healthy cinnamon applesauce muffins, and he continued to help! Not only did we finish with the stuff for this week, but also made granola for him. Loved having him help me.
