I’ve missed you all, and can’t wait to catch up this week. I have read each comment you left me last week, but haven’t been able to respond yet. We had limited cell service (which was great!) and I chose to spend time with family. I had grand plans to pop in and recap our adventures, but I never wanted to spend time alone writing, and would have rather spent it with the family, so I did. I will be getting around to recapping soon, but until then, here’s what else happened this weekend!
Linking up with Katie
Friday afternoon I happened to jump on my emails for the first time in a few days. I was shocked when I saw a lot of emails from my mom’s side of the family that my cousin, Jenn, was in labor! She was only 35 weeks so I immediately freaked out to find my phone. She did text me, but my phone was in the boat and I wasn’t, and everything was going well. They had thought it would take about 2 days to progress. Turns out, I awoke early Saturday morning to pictures of Madison Marie, born early in the morning. She was 6 lb 11 oz (already!) and as healthy as could be. I tried to go back to sleep, but knowing I had a full day, I rushed in to the hospital to see her! Cutest little girl.
How great does my cousin look for having a baby only hours prior!
Shortly after arriving home from the hospital, we had other plans to attend to. One of my great friends from college got married this weekend! Aaron and I left around 2 to head out to the wedding, which was 2 1/2 hours away. We made it for the reception, but had to miss the ceremony which was much earlier. We had a great night of dancing, fantastic dinner, and enjoying the beautiful day. I couldn’t get over how gorgeous she was. We had to head out a bit early to make our way back home. We chose to forgo staying over at a hotel because we were ready for our own beds after vacation! Here are some pics from the day. Unfortunately, I left my DSLR camera at home, and when you are that far away, you don’t turn around! All I have are iPhone pictures, sorry!
How awesome is the cake!
Beautiful banquet room.
Bridal entrance was fantastic. There were two maids of honor, and one best man. They broke it down in the middle of the dance floor. Bri, and her husband Lance, also broke it down. Pictures were hard to take!
Dress from Kohls, Aaron and me, Aaron, Me, and my friend Lyndz (maid of honor in the wedding), and another photo of just us two
Love her and can’t wait until I see them again!
I should also note that we took Aaron’s siblings out on the boat yesterday before it stormed, and then spent the night preparing for the week ahead (aka sleeping) and Aaron had a hockey game! What a busy weekend following vaca!!
Tell me three things you did this weekend.
What’s your favorite part of a wedding?
