Hello all! Let’s recap some of yesterday, shall we?
I did not have a sub job lined up for the day. This usually stresses me out, and causes a sleep-less night of looking on my phone to see if any were posted. Yesterday was no different. I kept looking all night, and at 5:00 am, I noticed the only schools in session had delays. I decided to sleep a little longer because I had tossed and turned all night, and look a little later. I basically stared at my phone from when I woke up, until I realized no afternoon jobs would even be posted. Needless to say, I did not have a job, so I declared it a snow day for myself It did snow about 6 inches Sunday night! When, oh when, is spring coming?
I took the day to catch up on things that slacked during the weekend.
Woke up to lots of snow.
I read some blogs, caught up with comments, and started working on today’s posts.
Tazo Zen tea was consumed in large amounts.
My lunch was already prepped for the week, so it made for an easy decision today.
Brown rice, peppers, chicken with hot sauce, salsa.
I folded some laundry (yes, my laundry basically only consists of sports bras and exercise clothes).
And, then I tackled something productive. My room has been on the back burner lately. It is just easier to throw things in, and I really do know where everything is! I can’t let anyone else touch my things, for the only reason being they put it where it goes, and I don’t know where that is! These would be the before pictures of my room. Yes, complete disaster!
It began to give me a headache. Just look at all those hoodies! I think I will have my hands full when we move into a house where I can’t bring all my clothes and need to decide what to get rid of.
Here is the after product! I am very proud of myself for it! How long it will last? Not sure, but hopefully a decent bit. My mom and brother were quite ecstatic when they saw it. Neither of them walks in my room because they know it’s a disaster and they can’t handle it. Not anymore, my friends!
I have to admit, though, that one area Aaron and I are striking out on houses (well, probably just more me), is the lack of closet space. The houses we can afford right now are generally older homes, which I am not complaining about one bit! However, back in the day, no one had the amount of clothes we have today, so they were very tiny. I really don’t know what I am going to do when we move,. Well, I do know. I will take all the closets, and Aaron can fend for his own. Sounds about right? Yeah, I think so
Niko and I also took a trip to take my dad’s car to the dealership. He had a blast, I know it.
Niko even managed to pick out his favorite cars! He was such a trooper in the car, but loved roaming around new territory!
Enough about me!
Now for your Trainer Tuesday post!
This week, I wanted to focus on the chest and back. I incorporated legs within the movements to make them more compound, but I also didn’t want to neglect cardio.
I discovered a workout like this during Best Body Bootcamp, and wanted to incorporate it with different movements. If you complete 4 or 5 sets of each pair, I wouldn’t suggest extra cardio. Pushing yourself for 20 seconds doesn’t seem like a lot, but if you give it your all, you will be tired by the end!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
