Hey guys, I hope your Monday is off to a great start!
Because of my changed work schedule last week, Aaron and I both ended up having off on Friday, which was perfect. Annabelle had a cold sort of deal going on, and so we were both able to be here for her cuddles and calm her when she was sad. Thankfully, she was still a happy girl most of the time, so when we had our friends Emily and Mike over Friday night for pizza and ice cream, she was in a fantastic mood for them! I love watching her personality shine through.
I was in bed pretty early Friday night after the rough Thursday night we had, and Saturday morning started off nice and early. We had family pictures done and I can’t wait to see how they turn out! I’m dying for a sneak peek! We came home in time for Annabelle’s nap, and Aaron and I both felt like we were catching something. Plans for boating after the nap were skipped in favor of a trail “walk.” About a half mile in, I asked Aaron if he wanted to jog to a landmark ahead, and he agreed! Then we just kept going! He walked parts of it while I ran ahead and turned around as he pushed the stroller for me, which takes a lot more out of you! I tackled 4 miles, which was honestly the highlight of my weekend. There’s nothing I love more than a family run (or walk!). Going at noon in 85 degree weather wasn’t really the smartest, but hey, take what you can get!
After Annabelle’s second nap, we were off! My good friend Alex is getting married next month and it was her bachelorette party! She had it at home, with a hot tub and pool, games and a trampoline, so it was perfect! Annabelle came with me for a couple hours to swim and hang out, and then Aaron picked her up and I partied on. I had so much fun. It was nice to just let go of being a mom for a few hours and live it up with friends. I know the wedding will be fun!
Sunday started too early, especially when I was feeling it from Saturday night! ha We taught Sunday school at church, laid around as Aaron still wasn’t feeling too good, and then went to his parents for the afternoon. Annabelle struggled with naps this weekend (as always, but more because she can’t breathe) so when she got fussy, I took her on a walk (in 90 degree heat no less) which had her nice and sleepy! We hung out the rest of the night at home and got ready for the week ahead!
