By having these small goals to accomplish everyday, I am actually completing them. Where before I would just say forget it, and move on with my day, I’m loving the results that are happening! Let’s take a look back at this week’s improvements!
February 1: Clean out the Fridge
Before: Things were everywhere. We could hardly fit anything in, and stuff just needed tossed.
After: Aaron and I pulled out all the shelves and drawers, scrubbed washed them off, threw out old food, went through food that didn’t need to be in there, and then placed it all back.
This was like our favorite project so far. It was so much work, but I love how it looks now. It’s hard to tell in the pictures, but you basically couldn’t even see through the glass. I know, embarrassing. It’s just one of those things you know is work so you put off, ya know? I am going to really strive for cleaning that more often and wiping it down once a week.
February 2: Clean out the freezer.
After: Ah, I love it! I know exactly where things are, and can easily see when we are out of something and to buy it.
February 3: Organize our hoodies and sweatpants.
Before: Ugh, this was awful. I own wayy too many hoodies and sweatpants. They actually fell out when I went for a hoodie right before I cleaned.
After: I wasn’t even sure exactly what hoodies I had. I would wear the same few because they were piled on top of others. Now, I organized by zip up or hoodie, and colors, and whether they were nicer ones, or old ones that are just comfy to wear around the house!
Please ignore the rest of the closet as the clothes haven’t been touched in a while, and I’m not sure when I’ll ever organize those! ha
February 4: Clean our my work bag.
Before: There was so much in there that didn’t need to be. I had enough pens to last years.
After: Things actually fit! I’m not crushing anything when I put in my computer and books. It looks beautiful!
February 5: Clean under the master sink.
Before: This one wasn’t too bad. It just needed some rearranging so there was a reason to some stuff, and be easier to get to.
After: Nice and neat
February 6: Put pictures that have been printed into something. Currently they are all over the office in random piles, but there needs to be a reasoning behind them.
Before: Pictures were in stacks all over my desk, in this little bin, and in the coffee table. It wasn’t a huge problem, except I never knew where to look!
After: I bought these boxes a few weeks ago, and never used them! They were perfect to put the pictures in. I can keep adding to them, too, as more pictures are printed!
February 7: Clean out the coffee table. Our coffee table lifts up, and I have a habit of placing everything that was on the coffee table, into the coffee table.
Before: It was a disaster! Things have been escaping at the seems, and it’s just too cluttered. We don’t even know what is in it, to be honest, that’s how bad it’s been! I just keep putting everything I don’t feel like dealing with in there for a later time. Apparently, the time was now!
After: There was a lot of useless papers that I threw out, recipes I actually put in my binder, books to go on my bookshelf, and wedding things that needed put away.
I am loving these projects. They don’t take long to accomplish, but there are so many times in the day when I see these things and smile because they are clean.
