Good morning! I have had a very hard time waking up today, so I’m sure a nap is in my future! First, though, I want to give you my final recap from my trip!
If you missed any of the others, check them out here:
Saturday was spent going to Peter and Emma’s last basketball games, as well as some me time. I left them to hang out with their parents and decided to go to the mall to shop! However, I was not in the mood at all. I ended up walking into a bunch of stores, but never bought anything and really didn’t walk around. Honestly, I was just so tired, so I came home and laid in bed for a while before they all came home from a St. Patrick’s Day festival.
Emma’s friend Anna was also at the game.
I also snagged these at the mall. They were ahh-mazing.
Kristy really wanted to take me someone on Sunday to make me feel like a tourist, and show me around. After the race, Emma had a birthday party to attend, but then we packed up the other kids to go get her. We ended up heading to the Pacific Ocean! I have never been there, so we went to Cannon Beach. It was amazing, and beautiful! I was so excited to head out there!
The drive itself was about an hour and a half, which wasn’t bad to get to a beach! While we were driving, though, we had rain, snow, and falling temperatures. Once you drive an hour though, we were pretty committed. It turned out great, though, and wasn’t even that windy on the beach. Of course, we needed our winter coats, but it still wasn’t too bad!
Peter and Charlotte loved playing in the sand. Charlotte was writing her alphabet in the sand, and Peter kept collecting sea shells! Emma was hanging out with her dad and I along the water, and we had to run numerous times as the tide would suddenly appear in front of us!
Charlotte running like a wild girl!
Emma running away from the water
There you have it! Such a great trip, and I already miss them lots! I found myself yesterday thinking of everything they were doing while I was home! I hope you enjoyed my recaps as much as I have loved sharing!
