Hi, happy Monday! I’m hoping this is the end of the super hot weather. I don’t know how anyone who lives in the south does it! I’m ready for summer during spring, but by Labor Day, I’m done with it. We had 90s this weekend. 90s! It was honestly a perfect weekend- for July or August, ha! But anyway, enough complaining. This Thursday the weather is supposed to drop and hopefully we’ll feel like doing more fall things!
So Friday, I ran home after work, got both kids in the car, and then we headed to my parents. Nolan was due for a nap very shortly after that, so we made quite the dash to get there in time, ha. Annabelle loved playing with neighborhood kids, and Aaron met us after work. My brother and dad went and got the boat out of the water; the season is over. My mom and Matt ended up cleaning it and then we had a delicious ham dinner my parents made. Nolan was up (learned how to roll in his crib, nooo!) a lot Thursday night, so I went to bed early Friday from pure exhaustion.
Saturday morning I got in a workout, went on a family walk to a garage sale, and then took Annabelle to soccer. We went to the grocery store after before coming home and playing a bit before nap time. I snuck in a few minutes of rest before Nolan was awake.
Around 3:45, I headed downtown for my college roommate’s bachelorette party! We had dinner at Las Velas followed by Peddle Pittsburgh. I did this for my friend Kathryn’s bachelorette party, too! It is SO fun and I’m already planning times to do it next year. We went to Sienna Mercado, which is a roof top bar, and then biked back to the North Shore and went to Tequila Cowboy. The group continued the celebration at Howl at the Moon, but I headed home and promptly passed out.
Roomies from college and still great friends <3
Sunday morning I was dragging and had a headache, ha. It’s been a while since I drank quite a bit. Of course both kids decided to be super needy and wake up early, lol. Aaron volunteered to keep them out of the room, but Annabelle was asking for me before bed Saturday night and I knew it’d be a meltdown if she wasn’t allowed in to see me. We had snuggles in bed for a while.
My dad stopped over to fix computer issues in the morning, Aaron went to get the boat ready for the mine, and we played inside and outside. Nolan also turned 4 months old! No idea how that’s happened already. I’ll have his update up later this week! Annabelle and I had lunch outside, too! Aaron went to his hockey game, and I took a walk with the kiddos after dinner.
It was a fantastic weekend!
