I thought I’d share all the details about this pregnancy in the same fashion I shared last year. I deleted a lot of these questions as they didn’t pertain, but still thought it’d be fun to share the others!
This pregnancy has been completely different than with Annabelle. I can’t get over just how different pregnancies can be! I will be recapping the pregnancy at some point, but nothing crazy like the first one. That’s mostly because I’m 16 weeks and haven’t had time to even sit down and write a weekly recap Anyway, here we go!
**What were your first pregnancy symptoms?
Honestly none until week 6 which was naseau. It was terrible.
**What was your first reaction to your pregnancy?
I was thrilled! Nervous, too, because of Annabelle being young, but definitely excited.
**How far along were you when you found out?
Technically not even 4 weeks when I took the first test. I really had a strong feeling so I took it 4 days before my missed period and it was already positive. I took another the day of my missed period and it was positive right away.
**How did your parents/family react?
Everyone is very excited! My family had no thoughts, but Aaron’s brother and my SIL had both asked me if I was before I announced it, somehow.
**How did you tell your friends?
I wanted to tell them in person but things just didn’t work out so I texted them the same picture I showed on here.
May 30, 2017
**Will you find out the sex ahead of time?
Yes, Jan. 7
**Do you have any feelings about whether you’re having a boy or a girl?
Boy! Everything is different than Annabelle. Complete opposites.
We have one for a boy but none for a girl.
**How many ultrasounds have you had?
I’ve had one so far. I had severe pain when I rolled at 5 weeks and it just didn’t feel right. I ended up going to the Dr. who thought maybe it was a cyst so I had one done at 6 weeks. Thankfully it was nothing. I thought it was round ligament pain, which I was told it was way too early but that’s what it still feels like.
**Have you felt the baby move?
Actually, yes. I felt it at 15.5 weeks, which I thought was crazy. I didn’t believe it but sure enough it was the same spot over and over. Aaron has actually felt it from the outside, too. I think so.
**Will you be sharing weekly pregnancy updates on the blog?
No. I’m not exactly sure how I’ll do it. I’ll recap the first trimester in a post and then maybe every 2-3 weeks.
**How have you been feeling?
I felt very tired and very sick from weeks 6-10. I was really nervous at 10 weeks when I wasn’t feeling sick anymore that something was wrong. I’ve had more energy the past few weeks which is welcomed for sure!
**Do you have any cravings/ aversions?
Cheese, haha. I have enjoyed more sweets and candy than with A. Veggies weren’t happening for quite a few weeks but now I’m back to anything.
**Have you experienced any crazy pregnancy related emotions?
Oh yes. I can cry real easily, haha.
**Any mood swings?
Yes and I feel so bad, haha. It’s been some bad timing with trying to be patient with the kitchen and learning to keep my mouth shut I feel bad but I seriously can’t control them!
Oh yeah, did I tell you my cousin Jenn is also expecting and due 2 weeks after me? Yep, so fun!
**How far along are you now?
16 weeks, 1 day.
**How has work/teaching been going?
I started back at the gym teaching right before I found out. There were numerous weeks that were rough but I’m still glad to be teaching.
I’ve still been working and everything is fine. I have days where I’m so exhausted, and I ate pretty much constantly when I had morning sickness just to keep that at bay.
**How do you think Annabelle will react to having a little brother or sister?
Hopefully well? I am nervous for having 2 under 2 but I know it will be great in the long run! They’ll be best friends growing up!
So there you have it! If there are any other questions you have, let me know!
