A delicious treat to take to your next gathering. This pumpkin dip is easy enough to whip together before, and delicious enough to have everyone coming back for more.
Once upon a time, there was a girl who didn’t understand the pumpkin phase. Every year, people would count down to PSL (that’s pumpkin spiced lattes, in case you didn’t know like me until this year, ha. Glad we caught up) and break it out at the first sight of fall.
Don’t worry, though, this girl didn’t mind that everyone was obsessed enjoying pumpkin, because it is actually very good for you. However, she just was never a fan of the taste. Pumpkin pies? Nope. Pumpkin drinks? Pass. Pumpkin cookies? Chocolate chip please.
Then one day, this girl decided to give in and try to make something she would enjoy, and that had pumpkin in it that you could actually taste (let’s be real, there’s plenty of ways to use pumpkin in baking that you can’t taste it). Well, that girl was me. I know, I know, I’m totally weird and probably missed out on a lot. However, I have found that pumpkin and cinnamon go together really well. And cinnamon? Yeah, I can get behind that. I love that addition to everything, so I got to thinking how I could make a dip that had the pumpkin taste, but yet wasn’t overpowered by it.
Lucky for you, I am sharing this amazing recipe with you. I’m serious when I say it takes all buy five minutes to whip up, and will have everyone going back for more. I had it out Tuesday night when our Life Group came over, and we picked at it all night. It’s light and fluffy, without tasting like a straight up pumpkin. Don’t get me wrong, you can definitely taste it, but you can also taste the cinnamon, making this pumpkin dip even more enjoyable to me.
This is the season with parties and get togethers. Make this for your next one and everyone will be loving you. Perhaps you can take it to Thanksgiving, too, if you’re like me and don’t enjoy pie. (Totally the topic for another day…) You can serve this with Vanilla Wafers, Graham Crackers, or even apples!
