Good morning, everyone! I am home from not only vacation, but also a wedding for my friend that was a few hours away. I am totally exhausted, but in a good exhausted way.
Needless to say, the past week was amazing. I had more fun than ever, and had tons of laughs. I took wayyy too many photos, so the recaps will be up at some point this week.
It was no secret we would be eating a lot, though I didn’t eat as much candy as I thought. I preferred some of the salty snacks. I know my portion sizes were larger than usual, but it was all fantastic dinners, so I was ok with it. With that being said, this week isn’t necessarily a meal plan. We are going to be eating lots of veggies, and mostly chicken dinners. I haven’t come up with them all yet, but some plain chicken with brown rice and veggies will probably occur more often than not. Ready to reset our bodies!
The week started off great…
Sunday– Too excited to get in the water and hang out with family, and Sundays are typically my rest anyway.
Monday– 4 mile run. Oh gosh, totally forgot about how hard these runs were around here! So many hills, but I did it.
Tuesday– 3 mile run. The day started out pretty crappy so I knew I wanted to do something. After lunch, though, it ended up being beautiful.
Thursday– Lots of paddle boarding and kayaking.
Friday– Barre workout. My cousin subscribes to My Barre3 online. They have tons of videos, and it’s way cheaper than going to a class.
Saturday– 20 minutes on the elliptical and some strength training in between. (I was home before heading to the wedding)
I kind of lost the workout motivation by Wednesday. The thought of running just wasn’t fun, either. I was all ready, headphones on, water drank, shoes on, on Thursday, and just couldn’t start. Instead of getting upset about it, I just figured it was needed and to quit stressing about it. I really wanted to try the Barre workout or I probably wouldn’t have worked out Friday either. I have a pretty heavy week of teaching coming up, so taking extra rest was just fine.
Total miles run this year- 361 miles
