Last week, this happened.
Last year, I talked about not being able to run a half anymore due to my Colitis, and that I was ok with that. After training for the 10 mile race two times, I have learned what works for me, and how to get through my runs without getting terribly sick. The feeling I have had watching everyone run the half and full marathon, but not being able to run it (still loved the relay though!), was terrible, and I knew I wanted to do anything I could to complete it.
It took some trial and error, but I am so excited to start training for this and run it. Of course I have some goals of time, but my main goal is to have fun. I want to run it and enjoy the minutes and take in the course. Pittsburgh is a beautiful place to run, and I want to take in all the sights, and be thankful I can run.
I’m not exactly sure when my “Training” will begin, but I’ll go more in depth with that once I know. For now, I’m just excited to be running it again!
Did you enter for your chance to run it with me, yet?? Make sure you DO! Giveaway ends tonight!
Thanks, Amanda, for letting me do some thinking out loud today 😉
