I hope you’re checking in feeling refreshed from the weekend, and in a great mood since it’s December and we know Christmas is soon!
This was a fun weekend. Friday afternoon we did some returns after I finished work and then Aaron and I put together the new printer I bought on Black Friday before I headed to bed feeling exhausted from the week. We also started our Advent calendar, and Annabelle opened up her first book for December! This is a new tradition I hope to continue. I gathered up all the Christmas books we had, and bought a few new ones, and wrapped them up for her to open one every night. It’s fun!
Saturday morning I was up early and got in a 4 mile run. Gosh, how adorable are these two. Aaron looked over as he was feeding Nolan and Annabelle was holding his hands.
After Aaron and the kids were awake, I went out to finish up my Christmas shopping! I had 20% off at Target to use, and then was in search of 100 Grand bars. I went to 6 different stores and couldn’t find them! I gave up, ha. But, I managed to pick up some orders that I placed online, and returned home around 9:30. Nolan was napping, but once he was up, we went to At Home and Home Goods out in Robinson.
We are thinking of getting a storage ottoman for our family room, but didn’t find any we liked. I needed to run out again during both kids’ nap times to pick up another order that I didn’t know was ready earlier, and then we had an early dinner before heading to church. It was Nolan’s first time in the nursery and he did well! They said he was okay, ha, but he lasted, which was nice.
Aaron and I just relaxed on the couch watching some Fixer Upper and reading some magazines after the kids went to bed and I call that #winning.
Sunday morning we were off for Breakfast with Santa! Matt and Shelby, along with my parents, were there, but Monday scarred her for life. She tensed up just looking at Santa, and this time, Nolan didn’t even like him! Oh well, I’m done trying, ha. She really, really wasn’t a fan. We didn’t even make her go on his lap and decided to just put Nolan on his lap. Well, that didn’t go well, either.
But he looked adorable in his outfit!!
Annabelle did talk to him when he was leaving, so that was good, but maybe next year she’ll like him.
I actually had a headache right above my neck in the back of my head Saturday night and it continued through most of Sunday. I felt really crappy when the kids went down for naps, and I actually napped for an hour! It didn’t really help so I’m thinking maybe I need adjusted. Not sure. Aaron helped his brother out with finishing a room in their basement, and then I made 8 different kinds of baby food once he got home. I finished the night painting my nails, typing up this post, and getting ready for the week ahead.
