…and nothing happened, ha. I’m not sure if I was ready for some crazy realization or something to happen, but it didn’t. It’s been almost a week, so I guess I could talk about my birthday now
My birthday was this past Sunday, and leading up to it, I was asked what I wanted to do. I replied nothing many times. I really just didn’t want anything big. Our party was the night before, I was exhausted, my stress needed reduced, and it was a perfect reason to have nothing planned!
I awoke around 7:00 or so, and laid in bed until about 8. Once I got up, I was greeted with beautiful flowers, and Aaron cooked me breakfast. I had a bagel topped with egg, cheese, and bacon, and an orange on the side. It was delicious. We laid around on the couch, watched the sermon online, I napped, and then we got ready for lunch.
Someone was more tired than the birthday girl!
Aaron had a hockey game Sunday night, and he said he’d skip it, but there was no reason. I don’t enjoy huge dinners anymore, so a larger lunch was perfect. You know how I’ve been craving those cheese fries, so we went to The Clubhouse which has the best loaded fries. They changed the actual fries to potato wedges, but they were that much better. Mmm.
I went with the buffalo chicken wrap and Aaron went with the buffalo chicken Artisan pizza. Both of ours were amazing, but we were so full from the fries we brought more than half home, plus half the fries!
The macaroni and cheese was gross so that wasn’t eaten
My parents stopped over in the afternoon and brought me a cookie cake! Mmm! I devoured that thing, ha! The rest of the afternoon was honestly perfect. I spent it on the couch, watching The Blacklist, and laying low.
Aaron went to his game, I caught up on the house things and putting everything away from the party, ate the rest of my lunch. Aaron and I hung out a bit more after his game and that was it! Some may call it boring, but it was exactly what I wanted.
I should note, it’s always a yucky day for my birthday. I mean, it can be in the 80s at 11:59 the night before and it honestly drops to like 50 and rain on my birthday, ha. This year it had rained in the morning and drizzled at lunch, but the sun came out and it was warm! Maybe my birthday won’t be such a yucky day anymore!
