You guys, I’m back! I have a new full body workout for you. A couple weeks ago, we had a gorgeous day outside, and I wasn’t teaching at night. There was no way I was going to go to the basement to workout when I could go outside. I grabbed my yoga mat, a pair of dumbbells, and went outside!
I loved this workout. The squats and walking lunges keep your heart rate up, and the upper body moves exhaust the muscles. I am excited to get to this one again!
Take it Outside Full Body Strength Workout
You could definitely add in some cardio between circuits. I chose not to because I was limiting my high intensity moves due to some pressure I had. However, that would be a perfect way to get in your cardio for your day. You could even run a mile before circuit 1, before circuit 2, and at the end. Boom. Three miles and a strength circuit.
Now for the the only move you may not know:
Plie Squats with Leg Abduction (make it a Plie squat instead of a typical squat)
(The other moves are all found on my exercise dictionary for reference!)
Now for this week’s workout recap:
Tuesday: 3 mile run. I didn’t want to push it and had some pressure that I didn’t want to mess with, so I quit.
Wednesday: Taught a 6 am class
Thursday: Ran 4 miles. It was a tough one. I just wasn’t feeling the run but I made it work.
Friday: Taught 6 am Body Sculpt class
Saturday: Rest Day
Sunday: Ran 6 miles on the treadmill. I wanted to get outside, but my day was packed and early morning was the only time I could get it in.
Monday: Taught my last Monday night Bodysculpt class. It was sad to leave all of my regulars, and I know they will miss me. They wanted me to take over a Sunday morning class just because they couldn’t do the mornings. However, I am happy with my decision and am excited for some more nights spent at home.
Total miles for the week: 13
Total miles for the year: 214.47 miles
It’s taper week!! Woo! The half marathon is in T-6 days! I have a lot of fun things going on this week for it. Thursday I have a blogger meeting for all the official bloggers, Friday I’m heading to the expo, and Saturday I’m resting as much as possible before the race on Sunday!
Lots of fun happening this week! I’m excited to see how the half goes, but am ok with having to walk or doing whatever gets me and Baby Brown to the finish line safely!
Have a wonderful day!
