How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was pretty great. Let’s take a look at why it was so marvelous!
After work, I went to finish up some errands, before heading home and having a workout date. Though I was up in time for a workout in the morning, staying in my bed ultimately won, haha. It was okay, though, because Aaron ran on the treadmill while I did this workout from Tuesday! I loved that he was more than game for getting a workout done together.
We spent the night snacking on some Buffalo Chicken Dip and Guacamole while watching The Olympic Opening Ceremony! What did you all think? Couple reactions:
– Who knew you could live in Staten Island and join a different team because you did charitable work there.
– Why did the US have the ugliest outfits?
– Antonio Pardo from Venezuela made me want to get up and jump around because he was so energetic (and the only one on their team)
– There are supposed to be 5 snowflakes that turn into the rings, not four
I woke up early to get my run in and then spent the day doing random things.

I had mapped out things that needed done between this past week and then this week coming up, and ended up finishing most while working at the high school Thursday and Friday! That meant my weekend was pretty wide open, and felt great to just take some steps back and enjoy it. We took a trip to the mall, found new running shoes for Aaron, and bought some new water bottles for Aaron and I. I won the giveaway at Jessie’s blog (technically Aaron did since it was all about football…) so we used some of that for additional ones (we have two but want more).
Aaron and I did our food prep, went to church, and made some delicious cinnamon rolls!
We had my family over for dinner and I made the Crab Meat Fettuccine Alfredo! Mmm, they loved it! I always rave about that recipe to them, but never made it for them haha.
They loved it! I was worried at first because I talked it up so much but they greatly enjoyed it, and they had extra to take home for leftovers!
The entire weekend included watching The Olympics, too. We DVRed all the viewings and were able to fly through all of them in less time than watching one! So much downtime and commercials (plus we don’t watch all the athletes in all the trials!) I cannot believe everything these athletes can do. It’s honestly so fascinating to me, and unreal how much time and commitment go into it!
