In preparation for Thanksgiving, I decided to come up with what I am most thankful for this year. I know a lot of people may do this tomorrow, but we need to remember to be thankful everyday and not just on Thanksgiving. As much as I love holidays, they can be a little stressed, so I’m focusing on things today so tomorrow I can hopefully relax and take in all the moments with my family!
I’m thankful for…
… my health and those I love. Between my dad’s surgery, my multiple mole surgeries, Aaron’s heart, and more, our family has had their share of health problems. But you know what? We are all alive and doing well. There are so many other’s out there dealing with much worse, so I am thankful for what we do have.
… for the challenges presented our way. Things definitely don’t go according to plan, and we have had numerous things thrown in our way this year. I don’t regret one challenge, though, because they help us prepare for the hard situations in life.
… Our families. Not just our immediate ones, but all of our extended families. I cherish the time we spend with all of them, and love them all. I am so thankful that so many were able to fly in for our wedding, and be there for our special day. Which leads me to..
… our wedding. It was everything Aaron and I could have wanted, and we were so extremely blessed to be given it all! It was the best night of our lives.
… for the vacation and honeymoon we were able to take this year. Nothing is as exciting to us as Deep Creek is, as well as our honeymoon! We were so blessed to have the ability to take a honeymoon.
… for our house. There was a lot of stress with this one, but it all turned out to be perfect. We love our house, love the location, and love all it brings. Things have come up (who’s house doesn’t have things go wrong?) but we handle them and move on. I can’t imagine being in any other home than ours.
… Benson. Oh my. He makes me so darn happy. I live for the nights where Aaron and I can play with him, he cuddles up on us, his little meows when we aren’t around, his early morning snuggles (never fails, every day when the alarm goes off…) and the excitement he brings to Aaron and I. I know he’s just a cat, but he means so much. It was so hard to going from being in a house with 4 people, a dog, and a cat to living with Aaron and being alone more than I was used to (when he’s working!). Now I have Benson and couldn’t be happier!
… being able to cook healthy meals, enjoy on special treats, and not fret too much on money. I wish I could have a job, but am lucky I am at least able to substitute. Yes our family could use an extra income, but we are very thankful for being able to live with what we have.
… friends. Because, we all need some people who know us, relate to us, and we can just be ourselves with.
.. all of you! I would never expect to be where I am now when I started my blog. I love all of you who read my blog every day, comment, and share your experiences with me! You are all the best and I am blessed to have you in my life!
The biggest one…
… for my husband. I am so thankful that I can share my life with my best friend forever, and soak in all the time we have with one another.
