Keep this Thanksgiving Day Parade workout in your back pocket for Thanksgiving next week! It’s a sure fire way to burn some calories while enjoying the Macy’s Day parade!
Thanksgiving is NEXT WEEK! How did that sneak up on us? I’m not sure but I’m excited. I was hoping for a parade to be around here for us to go to with Annabelle, but it doesn’t seem like it will be.
The next best parade is Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which I cannot wait to watch with her. I have a feeling she will be squealing in delight. Since watching a parade requires a lot of time sitting, I thought it’d be fun to put together a workout for you to do while watching the parade.
Thanksgiving Day Parade Workout
This workout is pretty self explanatory. As you watch the parade, complete each exercise as you need to. For instance, if you see a Broadway demonstration, you’ll do 10 burpees. Every time there is a dancing performance, you’ll do 20 jump lunges. Every balloon sighting is 15 high knees. I believe the parade is 3 hours, so more power to you if you do it the whole time But I have a feeling you’ll be feeling it with a good sweat after 30-45 minutes.
I’m not one to ever say you need to work out in order to eat. Those two don’t go hand in hand at all but I will say that I always feel my best with a workout done on a holiday. I just feel better about myself going into the day. I also find I tend to make better food choices on days I work out, but that’s a topic for another day.
