Heyyy there friends! I enjoyed taking a few extra days off from opening my computer. I’m excited to share all the fun we’ve been having ! This is a long one full of lots of pictures, but I figured that was better than multiple posts!
Wednesday I watched Emily’s son, Bennett, for her, and we had so much fun! Three kids is a lot of work, ha, but he is really good, and both of my kids loved having him over. Annabelle and I made cinnamon rolls while the boys napped, too, for Thanksgiving morning. My siblings-in-law all came over Wednesday night for games which we had a lot of fun playing!
Thursday morning started bright and early with a workout. Nolan was up and I can’t remember why at 5 (probably the binky) and then I couldn’t go back. I got in my own Turkey Trot 5K, and then did the Turkey Day workout I posted last week.
From there, we had a fun morning full of cinnamon rolls, eggs, and the parade. We packed up around 11:30 and headed to my in-laws, where the men of the family fried a turkey, and the ladies hung out with the kids. My MIL made ham, and my SIL made cheesy potatoes, both of which I ate a lot of. I can’t speak of the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, or anything else, but the ham and potatoes were delicious.
After dinner, we headed right over to my aunt’s house. Annabelle fell asleep on the ride over, and so did Nolan. I let Annabelle stay in the car with Aaron and nap, but I wish I didn’t. She was such a grouch for the first hour we were there. She’s never a grouch so that was a bummer, or maybe because I woke her up after a half hour. Nolan didn’t stay asleep, but that threw off his other nap that evening, and made him quite tired and cranky. We left around 7 and got home for bedtime before I headed out to do some shopping.
Friday wasn’t anything too special. We hung out at home, which was really nice and it was in the 50s, so we put up Christmas decorations outside and went for a walk in the afternoon. My kids also stayed in their jammies all day. I wish I could have! We did continue to get in the holiday spirit by watching The Grinch with Annabelle and having some Hot chocolate. She has never had it before and loved it.
Saturday morning we were up early to get to the zoo when it opened! Matt, Shelby, and Shelby’s sister, Annie, came with us, and we had a blast. The zoo was nearly empty, but it was free, and we got to see so many animals without any crowds. This was Nolan’s first time there and after a snooze, he loved it! Just kept smiling at the animals. We left around 11:30, and when the kids napped, I did this plyo box workout.
All these nice photos courtesy of my sister in law who is crazy talented and remembers her big camera when we go places
Saturday afternoon my Aunt Kate, Bridget, and Shawn stopped over to hang out with the kids, we had Sloppy Joes for dinner, and then Aaron went to his 10 year High School reunion. I manned the fort and watched A Bramble House Christmas on Hallmark. I finished it yesterday and it was super cute!
Sunday morning Annabelle didn’t want diapers, so we did the potty training thing. Sadly this is the worst week for it so she will be in diapers again, but we made a dent and she did really well! I went to the grocery store, meal planned for the week. We headed to Cait and Andrew’s after nap to play with cousins before getting Chipotle for dinner. Mmm! Great day by all! I’m currently painting my fingers and toes before watching the Steeler game and heading to bed.
Have a great week, everyone!
