Oh you guys. You sure know how to make a girl blush! I hope that I don’t go absent on my own blog, but I am so far keeping up with reading blogs and hope that once I get things organized at work and get in a groove, I’ll be back to commenting away! Thanks for bearing with me. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, head over here to read yesterday’s post! But for now, let’s talk about…
The Power of a Workout:
I honestly wasn’t going to post anything today. But, I just had to. Yesterday, I woke up early and was fully prepared to get to work early and sort through some things and try to get a handle on the day. I decided to be a nice wife and went outside to move my car so Aaron could leave. He comes walking down from his car, and it’s dead. DEAD! Monday morning, and a dead battery. Great. Oh, and it’s raining, ha! I had cables so we went to jump it, but it was pulled up to the garage and the cables weren’t long enough from my car behind it. Awesome, he had to work, I had to work. Thankfully my mom came over and could wait until our insurance road side assistance could get there and I was able to use her car to get to work. Did I mention I’m the reason it died? Ha! Yep, left the overhead lights on the other day apparently. Thankfully, Aaron is super calm and didn’t even get mad.
My “get to work early” morning wasn’t so. I had adorable children all day, but things thrown at me left and right and I left school feeling stressed to the max. I couldn’t even stay after work to get things done because I had to teach at the gym. I was not excited about teaching because my head had a million other things on it. But I went, taught, and ended up crushing it. The workout was a challenge, but it was exactly what I needed.
I needed that power from a workout.
I left work, and my mind was clear. I had a perfect plan in my head of what needed to get done last night, and what could wait. I wasn’t overwhelmed, but felt confident that the students were still learning and that it was day 2. Who has it together on day 2 of teaching?! No one.
I haven’t really worked out in over a week since the race, and forgot how much of a stress relief it is. I needed that workout, and now I am ready to conquer my day and the little things aren’t bothering me. Things will get done, right?
With that in mind, I’m sharing some workouts that you might have missed. I highly suggest you try them if you’re feeling the least bit stressed!
