I spoke yesterday at being at a comfortable level in fitness. But that’s not the only place you can get comfortable. Life has a way to just happen, day in and day out, and sometimes, not many changes. We get up, work out, eat breakfast, go to work, come home, make dinner, clean up, pack lunches, go to bed. All of us do those (maybe in varying ways), but that’s a normal day.
We all know that doesn’t last for long as life is always throwing curveballs at us. Yes, it’s hard to change, but it’s all about taking the hard changes, or whatever it may be, and revamping it. Instead of dwelling on it and thinking in the negative way, it’s best to be positive, and think of the outcomes.
This is hard to do, and something I have had trouble with when we just want something that doesn’t seem to happen. Instead, new things are coming out way. But, why should I dwell on something that is only going to cause me unhappiness, and stress? Shouldn’t I let God handle my problems, and be happy for what I do have? There’s too much in our life that passes by that we aren’t thankful for. I’ve been thinking of this for a while, but it’s up to us to make that jump into being positive in all things. No one can make us, but I promise you will feel better.
Instead of thinking negative, think positive.
Instead of being sad about getting sick last week, I was happy I was able to spend so much time with Aaron over the weekend.
Instead of wishing day in and day out that I had a teaching job, I choose to be grateful I am able to make some money and substitute.
Instead of having a teaching job, I’m happy that I have found a few other passions (like this blog and you guys!) to keep me going.
Instead of dwelling over the cost of cat toys (really not that much…), I choose to be happy I have a fantastic kitten who brings me such joy.
Instead of thinking of a lot of negative things that could get me down, I think about my life.
I think about how lucky I am that I was able to get married to my husband.
I think about how amazing a support system I have in my family.
I think about how great it is that I have people in my life who would do anything for me.
I think about how lucky I am that I have a house I love that will protect me.
I think about how great it is that I am able to pursue things that I love.
I think about the fun times I have in my life, the people who I love, the world I live in.
It’s easy to forget all of these fantastic things our life has blessed us with. Instead of thinking negative today, choose positive. Turn the negative around, and find the positive that’s in it. It’s not easy at first, but I swear it really does take a load off your shoulders and helps relieve stress.
