Since winter doesn’t appear to be going anywhere, I’m offering you a full body toning workout that you can complete in the comfort of your own home with just a set of dumbbells.
Our temps were -8 last night, so today I had a delay. Actually, the students had a delay, but I still had to report at normal time. No worries- more time to get organized and ready for the day, aka reorganize the week, again, to fit everything in! So in the meantime, let’s look at last week’s workouts.
Tuesday: Cardio Sculpt- actually very similar to the workout you will see today!
Wednesday: Random injury to my toe, soo rest day it is!
Thursday: Upper Body Workout with Cardio. I used the elliptical and forgot how you can get a good workout in on that too!
Friday: Cardio and Strength Intervals:
This one only took about 30 minutes, give or take a few, but left me sweating! Loved it!
Saturday: 3.1 mile run. Toe felt better, though not great yet. It’s more now the top of my foot? I honestly have no idea. Hoping a few more days of rest will help.
Sunday: Rest Day
For my cardio sculpt class, I incorporate both cardio and strength training. Sometimes we alternate, sometimes they are in a circuit together. Last week, I decided to do a cardio circuit, followed by a strength circuit 2 times, and the finishing with the cardio circuit. I loved having the strength in between the cardio sections!
Tone It All Full Body Workout
You are going to be doing 30 reps of each cardio exercise. You will find video demonstrations for every exercise on my dictionary. Here are a few you may not be familiar with:
- Plank Leg Raises and Plank Jacks
- Curtsy Lunge to Knee Raise– Instead of placing toe down, perform a knee raise
- Reverse Lunge Toe Tap
- Push ups with Rows
- 5 Squat Pulse to Jump– I haven’t taken an exact video of this yet- oops! Here’s what you do. Go into squat position- feet a little wider than hip width. Flat back and toe pointed forward. Pulse up slightly and back down 5 times, then perform a vertical jump and back down to 5 more squat pulses and jump. Repeat!
- Donkey Kick
Hope you love it as much as my class did!
