Good morning, everyone!
Today was a bright and early kind of day. I was up at 4:10 (!) so needless to say, a nap will be in order this afternoon! It’s Friday, though, so there is nothing to complain about!
Since I was up so early, I had a great 5 mile run on the treadmill.
I like to trick myself on the treadmill. When Aaron finished the other day, I made him put the incline up. Since it’s so early when I run, I never even think that about the incline, much less realize it’s not at 0.0. For whatever reason, if I knew it was at 1.0 (I know, nothing crazy) I suddenly think that I can’t do it. But, since I tricked myself, I forgot until the end that it was even at an incline. Score!
Of course, as I ran, I had this little buddy staring at me. He loves to go on the water heater. It’s very warm on top, and a vent is right above blowing warm air at him. Good thing he doesn’t go outside or he would freeze his behind off! #Spoiled
While I probably should have been sleeping last night, I started thinking about repainting something in our house. I have an itch to do something, and painting might just be it. Our family room is a bluish-mint color. Originally, I thought it was more of a mint color. Aaron thought it was going to be a darker blue color. Needless to say, neither of us have loved it, but we also didn’t want to repaint it. I’m questioning if it’s something I might tackle in the next few weeks. I just hate taking everything off the walls just to put up again! Ha. Most things are up with command strips, so they are easy to take down, but I just have to buy new ones to put up. We shall see. I’m thinking something like this color, though. We have dark chocolate furniture, and a light hardwood floor. What do you think? We have white baseboards, too, which I think would be a nice pop of color. I’m up for suggestions!
Alrighty, my 2nd graders are starting to trickle in! I’m hoping this day flies by so I can take a nap after school and then I’m meeting up with my college roommates tonight! It’s been so long, and I’m excited to see them again!
What color is your family room/living room?
What are you doing this weekend?
I honestly don’t have many plans. I’m thinking of going to hang out with my parents tomorrow, do some baking, and catch up on blog reading (and writing!). We’ll see how that all goes!
