An upper body blast will use heavy weight to really work the muscles. Sculpt those arms for tank top season. Make sure you challenge your upper body but not sacrificing form for weight!
Hey there, everyone! Is your week off to a great start? I hope so!
I’ve been playing around with the days that I think I’m going to post, but haven’t come up with a concrete schedule. I have so many ideas in my head for posts, but it’s finding the time to get them written and ready to go! I’m toying with the idea of workouts that I post being on Wednesdays, but this week it happens to be on a Tuesday. Regardless, it’s always great to have a new workout to try!
Upper Body Blast:
- Medium/Heavy weights (10-15 lb)
- Yoga mat or soft surface to lay on
Some workouts I make are time based. This one happens to be rep based, which is perfect for always surprising your muscles. I recommend doing the same workouts for 2ish weeks before switching them up. This way, your body is able to push a little further in that next week, but you will be switching things up to work more muscles in the following weeks. Just like anything, doing things over and over gets boring and you don’t challenge yourself.
I actually needed a workout to do with minimal time (that’s my life these days!) and I only had my heavy weights with me. I try hard to pair my strength days with a walk if I can, but sometimes this is all I get in, and that’s ok! Maybe one day I’ll get back to working out for an hour or so, but this season of life is less. Plus, it’s summer! Time to get out there and have some fun- not waste the sunlight being in the gym.
Take this upper body blast along with you to the gym next time! Your arms will thank you for it!
Remember, I am not a personal trainer. The workouts I share on my blog work for me and I just hope they work for you, as well! Always perform them with the correct form. Head on over here to see each move!
There are two sets and each set is to be done 3 times, total. Pair with a warm up and a cool down for the perfect upper body blast!
