Good morning! How is everyone today? I have been up since 5:45 for some big plans! More on that in a sec.
After nannying all morning, Aaron and I headed downtown for our marriage license. It was storming, which gave me hopes maybe it wouldn’t be so busy. Wrong. The parking lots down there were also very expensive. I was shocked when one advertised $8 for 20 minutes! It went up to $12 until 40 minutes and up even more! Thankfully, Aaron’s friend came with us to register for grad school classes at Pitt, so he drove around so we didn’t have to pay and park!
Well, it took an hour to get us in, and it was actually pretty dumb. We already had to register online, so when we met with the lady, we had to sign a paper to say we weren’t related, repeat an oath, and we were out of there. The lady who helped us only came in about 10 minutes before we were taken back, while the other lady seriously took 20 minutes per couple! It was so dumb. Needless to say, Aaron and I were bored, and pretty darn hungry! Haha
From there, we headed to the University of Pittsburgh for Aaron and his friend to register. I waited in the car while they signed up for classes I don’t even understand, and we were good to go!
I was up at 5:45 this morning (after a late night, and what will be a late night for my bachelorette party.. I should nap) to go here:
It was $1 flip flop day!
I wanted to get flip flops for our wedding, and we definitely conquered.
We had to wait in line at Old Navy for about a half hour for the doors to open. There was already a line at 6:30 and it got worse! I had never gone for $1 flip flop days, so I didn’t really know what to expect. Well, my mom and I are such pros at Black Friday, and today proved to be no different. We went in, filled up a cart full, and I stood behind the register while handing my mom 5 flip flops at a time. There was no line for a while! It worked out so well. Doors opened at 7:00, and we were gone by 7:45. The longest part was the last line we stood in after we found some tank tops and bathing suits. It took 15 minutes to get through, and it wasn’t even for the flip flops! Haha We definitely won that battle today, and now have flip flops for the wedding.
And we were stopped by a train after. How exciting.. but really, they take forever!
I’m hoping to go get a run in right now, and then have time for a nap later this afternoon! I tried laying down after we got home, but now I’m too awake. Such is life.
No questions today.. just enjoy your day!
