I have had quite the wonderful weekend, with a jam-packed Saturday!
If you missed any of my posts for the weekend, catch up here!
I’m linking up with Katie again this week for some MIMM! Thanks for hosting!
I headed out after school on Friday to our bakery for our wedding cake! I needed to give her ribbon for our cake, and match the design color with our green color. It was marvelous to cross that off the to-do list!
The day started nice and early with a workout!
The whole day was spent with my mom, and I enjoyed all the marvelous time I had with her!
We hit up Bed, Bath, and Beyond first! I needed to finish my registry, and Aaron is over the registry process. Enter: Mom! We made our way around the store adding little things on that really aren’t detrimental, but would still be fun to have! As you all know, our kitchen is being redone, and it seems everything needs replaced to match the new style. I’m talking silverware holders, spoon rests; everything! I thought my dad bought out Amazon, really, but turns out we didn’t get enough. As I wondered through registering, my mom was off on her own ending up finding things for the house! She was hysterical. We were supposed to be there for me, but it ended up being a tad bit more about our house! That’s ok, it was fun and we had a great time!
Bed, Bath, and Beyond supporting the Pen’s!
Enter: New York and Company! I happened to get an email Saturday morning with huge deals and coupons. This meant I obviously needed to go in! I tried on a few dresses, clearly the ones that weren’t on sale, but didn’t want to spend all the money on that. There weren’t any that I fell in love with, so I bought a few other things that were 70% off and called it a day!
Every Friday, my dad and brother go out to lunch. They work in the same building, but use that time to catch up with each other. My mom an I don’t really do that, nor do we have weekly dates with my dad or Matt! So, yesterday we went out to lunch to maybe catch up to their standards! Funny story, we chose to go to the food court! We were in the mall, and thought we’d check it out before heading somewhere else. We found this great place. My mom got the Balsamic and Roasted Red Peppers wrap, and I had a Buffalo Chicken Panini. It was delicious, and it was definitely the healthiest option around!
Totally love that this place was selling fruit instead of chips! How great is that?
Side note: I don’t like eating out. With my Colitis, I just don’t enjoy it. It is always a playing game whether I will get sick or not, so I’d much rather skip it and eat dinner at home. I would say I eat out maybe once or twice a month, if that. My mom also doesn’t like to eat out. Add in that we are cheap and hate spending all that money on food, we just don’t do it! This would be why we didn’t go to some fancy restaurant for lunch! It just isn’t us, and we are totally fine with that! 🙂 I’d rather have fro-yo than dinner out, anyway of the week!
We finished the day with a trip to Trader Joes for some more Taquitos! And we went to Charming Charlie at another mall by us. Has anyone been to this story? My word, it is huge and every girl’s dream! It has TONS of fashion jewelry, in all of the colors you could want, arranged by colors. They also had Flip Flops buy one get one free, so I had to take part in that 🙂
After a quick trip to pick Niko up from Doggy Day care, we made our way home!
And.. since this is already so long, be on the lookout for MIMM part 2 later this afternoon!
Ever been to Charming Charlies? Do you wear jewelry? Are you a fan of eating out? Where’s your favorite restaurant?
