Hello, hello! It’s been a few weeks since I shared food I have eaten, so I thought today I’d catch you all up on what we ate while at Seven Springs. It’s easy to get wrapped into the mindset that everything you eat has to be completely healthy. I’m here to say that that is definitely not the case in my life, and doesn’t have to be! It’s better to give yourself some freedom than complete deprivation.
Ok, enough talking, let’s get on with the food! Thanks, Jen, for hosting!
We hit up Subway before making the drive to Seven Springs. I went with an Oven Roasted Chicken with lettuce, onions, and provolone cheese. It definitely hit the spot and I think I talked about how good it was for the entire road to Seven Springs! ha
We actually had a pizza later on that I snagged a piece of, as well.
We decided to keep breakfasts easy and went with scrambled eggs and a bagel.
When we met up with the boys, our options were limited. We couldn’t find a place to fit all of us, so we hit up the café. I actually was super excited because this is all food I love but never have. Aaron and I shared chicken tenders and fries, some delicious Mac n Cheese, and a soft pretzel. Remember, I said we all have unhealthy days
Dinner on Saturday night was a pasta dinner! This is a recycled photo since I forgot to snap one, but we had some garlic bread on the side and lots of salad. I did try to get some fruit and veggies in!
I did snack on quite a bit of fruit throughout the weekend, too!
We also had Rice Krispy treats. Mmm! I haven’t had those in forever.
Breakfast Sunday morning was very similar to Saturday’s and included just a bagel.
Not pictures are plenty of cookies, chips and salsa, and some other extras! Was I ready for healthy food when I came home? Absolutely! I had a yogurt followed by chicken and rice for lunch and steak fajitas for dinner. It’s always nice to allow ourselves to enjoy treats, but I know I always end up craving the healthy, normal food again!
