Our life group has become a great group of friends. We’ve been planning for months a trip to Seven Springs, and finally it happened! With 6 couples, it’s hard to find a weekend that works for everyone. However, this weekend was perfect. Seven Springs is a Mountain Resort about 1.5 hours away from us. It was a very easy drive after work on Friday, and we knew we had fantastic conditions awaiting us!
We kicked off the weekend catching up with everyone in front of the fire, and eating some pizza (I’ll share our food on Wednesday!).
Later on, we played a few games of Eucher. I’ve never heard of it before, but after Aaron and I were taught, we had fun playing! The boys continued on late into the night, while the girls just chatted.
Saturday morning, we were up early to get the boys ready for a day on the slopes. Even though I would have loved to ski, I decided just to hang out with the girls. It was such a beautiful day, though, for some skiing! The weather was in the 30s!
Us girls went to the lodge to meet the boys for lunch and I just couldn’t get over how nice it felt to get some fresh air! We came back and took some naps and vegged out before the guys came home.
After dinner, we played some Taboo and a few other games. The boys also went back to playing Eucher. Sunday morning came way too fast thanks to daylight savings time! We got on the road pretty early as Aaron had a hockey game in the afternoon.
The weather back home was in the 40s, and there was just no way I could not go out for a run! After two days of no exercise, it had to happen. I headed to the park and took off. I wanted to run longer, but I felt really dehydrated so I called it quits and caught up with the house for the rest of the day.
It was such a great weekend! This week is supposed to be in the 40s and 50s and I know I will be in the best mood. The warm weather is just the best!
Thanks, Katie, for MIMM!
