Ever have one of those weekends that fly by and you aren’t quite sure what you did the entire time? That pretty much sums up mine, but that’s alright!
Little update on the husband. His poison ivy.kept spreading, and he went to the doctor on Friday. He has quite a severe case but was put on steroids and given an antihistamine. Unfortunately it pretty much ruined a few days for him as nothing seemed to help until yesterday afternoon. He was still a trooper and came out to celebrate my friends birthday, at Il Pizzaiolo, which worked great with all of our schedules! We had a great time and the food was very good.
I ordered the Quattro Formaggi- It means four cheese, and I love cheese. Ha I wanted a white pizza, and this was the closest. Between Aaron’s pizza and mine, we got 5 meals out of it!
Oh Saturday, how I love you. I woke up feeling great and got in a workout on the treadmill. I did the Cardio and Core circuit, which I was dreading, ha. I just wasn’t feeling any workout but knew I would feel better after. The workout felt great and put me in a great mood. Aaron and I had some returns to make at the mall, and I wanted to do some shopping so we headed out. I am pretty awful at shopping, and have walked into stores for months without finding anything I wanted! I love to shop, but have just been having a hard time finding what I want. It seems I’m never in the right season! But! I found quite a few shirts at Express, which was great. They were exactly what I wanted; I’d call that a success!
My excitement for the weekend came Saturday night when I was able to be with my best friend after she got engaged! Her sister clued me in that it was happening and her fiancé wanted their friends and family to be at his house when they came back. Of course I was as excited as possible! I am so happy for them, and just wish they’d move back to PA!
She was totally shocked that it happened!
Beautiful ring! He did a great job picking it out; knowing her, it really was the best choice!
After the party, I headed to hang out with my mom. We watch Parenthood together and are 9 episodes behind, ha! At this point, though, I’m not a fan of everyone’s relationship issues, lol. Gotta catch up some more!
After church, food prep, and some blog work, I headed to a nearby high school for the Beauty and the Beast Musical. It is one of my aunt’s favorite movies of all time, and I knew she would want to go. Some of my aunts came too, but unfortunately it was just alright. They added songs to it, and the stage mechanics were struggling a bit, but the actors were fantastic and the set was incredible!
That about sums up my weekend! It was nice having some extra time to do with what we wanted and not to be rushed. I enjoy those weekends the most.
What did you do this weekend?
When’s your birthday?
I’m linking up with Katie for this marvelous weekend!
